Problem
Social Distancing
The Covid-19 lockdown led to remote learning for many school-aged children in 2020.
As quarantine stretched from weeks into months, it became clear that students were moving less and sitting more.
Unfortunately, this led to childhood obesity, depression, sleep problems, and a loss of confidence in many students.

Solution
Remote Gym Class
Exercise Legends is designed with students, teachers, and parents to develop a remote fitness solution that meets everyone's needs.
Exercise Legends combats childhood obesity, encourages exercise, and teaches healthy habits for life within the confines of COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.

Process
Preliminary Interviews
I interviewed three elementary school students and one elementary school teacher to gain insight into exercise habits, technology fluency, and the unique challenges of remote learning and teaching.
FINDINGS

Students connected with their friends by playing video games.
Social Life
Students missed the social aspect of gym class the most.
